This is a striking edge grain board. The outer edges are Western Sheoak. Separated by a strip of tassie sassafras are two wider pieces. The red one is WA Jarrah. The other a piece of very rare and unusual of Birds-eye Tassie Blackwood harvested probably 75 years ago and that I acquired from a Tasmanian Sawmill. Down the side of the Jarrah are strips of lighter sassafras and darker redgum. Alongside the birdseye blackwood sare trips of lighter Tassie oak, and darker redgum with a piece of American Walnut between. The ends are cut to handles so that the board can be used either side. if ypu fit handles this utility will be lost.
The final finish is Gilles foodsafe wax.
